Wolfram and golf
On Cook County’s periphery, golf courses like Highland Woods in Hoffman Estates, Ill. and White Mountain Golf Park in Tinley Park, Ill.,
titleist vokey sm5, golfers may believe that they will find some wolves. Much more likely is that they will see some wild dogs and coyotes. In addition, is very unlikely that they will see any rams (male sheep) in Cook County, but they will definitely see Ram brand golf equipment at golf course pro shops and other sports stores. (This includes Wal Mart and Target.) How does wolfram (This word appears to be the designation for a wolf ram hybrid.) relate to golf? Read further to find out.
If a mad scientist created a wolfram, the creature would be unviable; wolves are predators and rams are prey. If the wolfram had a wolf’s head, it would try to eat its ram’s hindquarters. If the wolfram had a ram’s head and wool to its midsection, this would be satisfactory for shearing, but the wolf’s fur on the hindquarters would be an unsatisfactory, wool substitute. Anyhow, I would not like to see such a creature.
Wolfram (wolframite) is tungsten ore. Golf club manufacturers use tungsten to increase the weight of golf clubs. Specifically,
titleist 915 d2, these manufacturers may use tungsten alloys to shift golf clubs’ centers of gravity; thereby, improving the performance of golfers who have tendencies to slice or hook.
Golf clubs that have tungsten alloys as part of their construction (usually the golf club head) will cost more than golf clubs that use material like aluminum, graphite and steel. Golf clubs with titanium (Titanium is strong stuff.) alloys will be more expensive than golf clubs that have tungsten alloys.
Golfers can find golf clubs that have tungsten components at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores. In Cook County, Dick’s Sporting Goods has 16 stores. If it is inconvenient for you to travel to any of their locations,
titleist vokey sm5, you can order golf clubs using their website.
In addition, golfers may locate tungsten golf clubs when thoroughly searching thrift shops. Amazon and EBay are also other sources where golfers can find tungsten golf clubs. (BTW, do not expect to find any tungsten in authentic fairway woods.)
If a wolf lunged toward my burned ham sandwich that I was eating at Burnham Woods Golf Course,
titleist 915 d3, I would ram it with a wolfram golf club. I would be reluctant to permit any wolves keeping my RAM golf balls. (Ha, wolfram golf clubs may not work against coyotes.)
As an amateur golfer,
titleist 915 d3, I have played all Chicago Park District golf courses and all Forest Preserve golf courses except Meadowlark. I have played George Dunne National Golf when its name was Forest Preserve National. I have played Joe Louis Golf Course when its name was Pipe O Peace Golf Course. I have played the 2 and 3 courses at Cog Hill.
