Whom They Help:\u00a0They help local seniors in need<\/p>\n

What:<\/p>\n

Home Care:Provides personal care, homemaker\/companion care and caregiver respite
\nwhile arrangements are being made for ongoing care.
\nservices on the basis of need. This assistance can be used during a period of recovery or
\nHome Delivered Meals: Provides meals for homebound seniors who live alone and have
\nwith volunteers who deliver the meals.
\nrecommended dietary allowances (RDA) for proper nutrition and provides daily interaction
\npreparing their own meals. The Home-Delivered Meals Program help seniors meet the
\nsignificant health conditions or physical or mental impairments that prevent them from
\nLong-Term Care Ombudsman: Investigates and resolves complaints involving nursing
\ntechnical support.
\nhomes, assisted living facilities and home care providers. Provides facilities information and
\nMedication Assistance\/Pharmacy Connection: Screens and completes applications for
\nseniors age 55 and older and not covered by medication insurance or any other program.
\nreduced cost or free medications offered by pharmaceutical companies. For income eligible
\nMoney Management and Counseling: Provides one-on-one check writing and bill
\nfrom exploitation.
\npaying services and assist seniors with managing personal finances including protection
\nOptions Counseling: A partnership with Resources for Independent Living to provide
\ninteractive support for decision making concerning long term support and future planning.
\nPublic Guardianship: Advocates for and protects vulnerable at-risk persons who have
\nSupport for
\nbeen legally found unable to manage the basic requirements of physical health and safety.
\nindividuals who do not have family or friends willing or able to assist them.
\nSenior Employment Programs: Offers job placement and work experience for seniors
\nage 55 and older who are interested in re-entering the workforce.<\/p>\n

\nAfter Exit, Turn Left onto East Leigh Street and get into the far
\nRight lane.
\nAt next traffic light, Turn Right onto Chamberlayne Avenue.
\nChamberlayne becomes Belvidere Street after you cross West
\nBroad Street.
\nAt the seventh traffic light, Turn Left off of Belvidere onto East Cary
\nStreet.
\nProceed down Cary through three traffic lights. Senior Connections
\nis the three-story brick building on the Left
\nFrom the SOUTH
\nTake the Downtown Expressway, Route 195 to the Second Street\/
\nByrd Street Exit.
\nTurn Left at the first traffic light onto Second Street.
\nAt the next traffic, Turn Left onto Canal Street. Proceed down
\nCanal two blocks then Turn Right onto Foushee Street.
\nProceed up Foushee to the first traffic light. Turn Right onto Cary
\nStreet. Senior Connections is the three-story brick building on the<\/p>\n

From the EAST<\/p>\n

Take I-64 to the Fifth Street\/Downtown Exit.<\/p>\n

Continue South on Fifth Street to Main Street. Turn Right onto<\/p>\n

Main heading West.<\/p>\n

Turn Left onto First Street. Senior Connections is at the corner of<\/p>\n

First and Cary Streets on the Right.<\/p>\n

From the WEST<\/p>\n

Take I-64 to I-95 South towards Richmond. Then take I-95 South to<\/p>\n
